What does Supercharging do to my engine?

A supercharger compresses air and forces it into the engine under pressure. Supercharging increases air density and significantly increases power on an otherwise stock engine. Supercharger systems offer more HP per dollar than any other single engine modification. Most other modifications available require specific matched parts, in-depth tuning, are not smog legal, and won't produce the performance gains you'll receive from the addition of a supercharger system.

How is the reliability of supercharging vs. my stock engine life?

The reliability of your stock engine is not harmed with the use of a supercharger. The misuse of a supercharger or like product is what generally inflicts harm or stress to an engine.

Do I need to change injectors with the addition of a supercharger?

The stock fuel injectors do not usually need to be replaced. When this may apply, larger fuel injectors are normally supplied with the supercharger system.

Do I need to upgrade my Throttle Body?

>The addition of a throttle body is not necessary for supercharging, however does assist in better throttle response.

Is it necessary to upgrade my Radiator?

We strongly encourage the upgrade of your stock radiator to one of our high-flow replacements. During summer months, this assists in keeping the vehicle’s engine running at peak performance and temperatures.

Will the supercharger system blow my head gaskets?

When installed under manufacturers specifications correctly, the supercharger system will not cause blown head gaskets. Generally, head gasket failures occur when the boost is increased and/or the engine mileage is excessive.

What exhaust do you recommend?

Exhaust system recommendations are based on the modifications performed to the engine. This is generally based on whether the engine is forced induction or naturally aspirated.

What kind of gear ratio do you recommend?

Depending upon driving characteristics, gear ratios are driving and/or circumstance specific. Gear ratios may change to meet certain street driven and/or race driven needs.

Do you recommend sub-frame connectors?

Yes. We recommend sub-frame connectors for all applicable vehicles. The addition of sub-frame connectors assists with the integrity of the vehicles chassis whether stock or modified.
